The meaning of my partner's name

Post  Sean on Sun Nov 21, 2010 7:54 pm

My partner’s name is Masyita Nur Sabrinna. We did this task mostly on Facebook. I told her the ways how Chinese people name their children’s name and also she made me understand the ways Indonesian name their kid’s name. In Indonesia, people name their kids with many kinds of languages from Javanese, Arabic, Western, and also using family name. I think is very different from the methods using is Taiwan. Her name is from Arabic, and Masyita means sun; Nur means light; and Sabrinna means patience. In my opinion, she must be an outgoing, sunshine girl. It’s so cool.
As for my name, just look at the topic she post on the forum.
Very Happy Very Happy Smile Smile cheers cheers

Hello Sean...
My name is Reni, I am from Indonesia.
In your posting, you told to Marsyita how Chinese people name their children, so what the way Chinese people give their children’s name? Can you explain me?
After proclamation of Indonesia, 65 years ago, Indonesian people give their children’s name with short name, like Sumiati, Suhartini, and the other. What do you think? Is it cool like now?
Well, thank you for your reading.
Nice to meet you.....

Well, people use some words which mean lucky or some words in positive meaning. A large amount of people go to ask a fortune teller. Chinese believe in 八字(i do not know how to explain in ) How many stroke of your name and the time you born all related to it. Even a second vary a lot. It's complicated. you can keep asking if you want to know more.

Hello,Sean......
How are you.......
I'd love to know more about Taiwan culture.
mainly regarding naming.
there are several similar, but many are different.
in Indonesia people prefer to go to religious leaders to give the name of the child.
There is also giving his own name.
whether the Taiwan people strongly believe in the meaning of the name that is on their behalf?
and is it so important?

Thank's
Pepy
